- Collaborating closely with area businesses in the search for Mentors
- Tracking Mentor volunteer hours
- Establishing a Mentor model in which each school has at least one assigned Mentor but can draw from the entire pool as training needs dictate
- Infusing leadership and teamwork skills for students as well as cybersecurity training
- Recognizing the value of CyberPatriot as possible career path for students
- Growing from a single team in CP-II to 8 teams in CP-IV to 12 teams in CP-V
- Bringing in a computer forensics expert from Washington State to train students on the finer points of forensics investigation
- Hosting an annual summer cybersecurity camp for AFJROTC students
- Expanding the program beyond the district to other high schools
- Hiring CyberPatriot Competitors as summer interns in the District’s Instructional Technology Support Center
- Being recognized by Washington State’s US Congressional Delegation for cybersecurity efforts
