CyberPatriot's Privacy Policy

For the purposes of this privacy policy a CyberPatriot participant is defined as a Coach, Mentor, Team Assistant, Competitor, ESCEI requestor, CyberCamp Coordinator or other individual associated with the program.

Basic Policy

CyberPatriot values the right to privacy of its participants and their right to limit the use of their names and other identifying personal information as they see fit. CyberPatriot uses mailing and participant lists in the ways described below. In each case the participant may elect to stop such use by contacting the CyberPatriot Program Office.

Registration

CyberPatriot will email participants in our programs to complete the registration process.

AFA Solicitations

From time to time CyberPatriot mails information about AFA membership to eligible adult participants.

List Rentals

CyberPatriot never sells mailing lists of names and addresses. However, CyberPatriot may share email addresses of Coaches and Mentors with organizations we partner with to provide competition elements such as Cisco Net Academy.  Additionally, CyberPatriot may share contact information of Coaches, Mentors or Camp Coordinators with CyberPatriot Centers of Excellence points of contact or AFA chapters who may be able to offer resources to the Teams or Camps.

Programmatic E-Mail

CyberPatriot will send competition related materials to Coaches and Mentors. CyberPatriot will send ESCEI materials to individuals who request ESCEI kits.  CyberPatriot will send AFA CyberCamp emails to Camp Coordinators. Any individual may opt out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the CyberPatriot Program Office. Opting out of the emails will mean that you will not receive critical competition and program information.  CyberPatriot receives statistics showing us how many people opened the e-mail and what links they clicked to read. This helps us know what teams have accessed the program related emails.

Broadcast E-Mail

CyberPatriot sends broadcast e-mails periodically to participants. Any individual may opt out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the CyberPatriot Program Office. CyberPatriot receives statistics showing us how many people opened the e-mail and what information they clicked to read.

Internship Opportunities

CyberPatriot sponsors offer internship opportunities to CyberPatriot Competitors. CyberPatriot will send Competitors and Coaches information about available internship opportunities as they become available.  Any individual may opt out of these e-mails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the e-mail or by contacting the CyberPatriot Program Office.

Surveys

CyberPatriot sends occasional surveys to CyberPatriot participants.  These surveys help us understand how to improve our program and what impact our program has had on our participants and their education and career goals and experiences.

If you want to be excluded from any or all of these mailings or lists, you may do so by e-mail to the CyberPatriot Program Office at info@uscyberpatriot.org by calling 1-877-885-5716. Be sure to include your complete name and email address to allow us to remove you from mailings.
